Preparation for the Ultrasound
Once you arrive for your ultrasound, I'll guide you to a private room, specifically set up for your comfort. This room will have a viewing screen so you can see the images in real-time. I'll ask you to lie down on an examination table, and then I'll apply a water-based gel to your belly. This gel helps in transmitting the ultrasound waves more effectively, ensuring we get the best possible images during the procedure
During the Ultrasound
After applying the gel, we will use a transducer, or ultrasound probe, and move it over your belly. This device emits sound waves which bounce off the body's structures and return as echoes. These echoes get processed into images. With 3D ultrasounds, we combine multiple images to create a detailed 3D picture. In 4D ultrasounds, you'll see the baby's real-time movements. After the scan, our technician will show you different views of the baby, and we can save these images or video clips for you on a CD, DVD, or USB stick.
After the Ultrasound
At the end of the session, we'll remove the gel from your belly. You can then collect your belongings and we'll provide you with the saved images or videos. If you haven't already, you'll settle the payment. If you’d like, we can print images on keepsakes! However, always remember: if anything unusual is observed, consult with a healthcare professional for a proper medical evaluation
